The world is an exciting, horrific, wonderful and crazy place. And sometimes, Coastal Spectator readers, contributors and editors see and hear things that capture their attention and engender awe, rage, joy, befuddlement . . .
Going Coastal is the place to air such responses on our review site. It’s a place to “GO COASTAL” with a strong, yet well-reasoned and compelling, observation about the world of music, civic politics, art, culture, environment . . .
We’re open to pitches from anyone, about almost anything, as long as they are neither obscene nor libelous. So contact us with your ideas for your rants and raves. And your faves: you can go postal about something good just as easily as about something outrageously bad.
We like our Going Coastal submissions short and sharp: between 300 and 500 words. It’s a challenge to corral your emotions, and we do pay our usual stipend of $25. We want to hear from guests readers and writers from BC and beyond, although we admit we are partial to views that reflect a coastal slant on things.
